How Vastu gridding works
A Vastu grid is a set of directional zones drawn outward from the geometric centre of a floor plan, aligned to North. Once the grid is in place, every room can be read against the zone it falls in — a kitchen that sits in the fire zone (South-East) supports its own function; one that lands in the North-East does not.

North is the input that decides everything. The same floor plan rotated 90° produces an entirely different grid, so a grid is only as reliable as the North direction it started from. On the Free plan you set it with the direction dialer; check it against a compass reading taken on site, standing parallel to a known exterior wall.

Does the free plan support Google Maps import for setting North?
No. Google Maps import is a paid-plan feature. On the Free plan you set North with the direction dialer, which is a direct and sufficient way to do it — what matters for gridding is the direction relative to the plan you traced, and a dialer checked against a compass reading on site gives exactly that.
What is the difference between the free plan and the paid Vastu report?
The Free plan generates the 16-zone Mahavastu grid and its report PDF for one floor plan. Basic (₹99) adds the 8 and 32-zone grids, the Mahavastu Shakti Chakra, area distribution charts and the 64 Devta layer.
